Active participation of “Perfect Vision” doctors at the 17th Congress of Ophthalmologists of Serbia
In the period from June 4-7, 2016, in the pleasant surroundings of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade, the 17th National Congress of Ophthalmologists of Serbia was held.
Among the lecturers at this year’s congress, there were renowned Serbian ophthalmologists who presented their works and case reports from various fields of ophthalmology. In addition, some of the most famous foreign experts conveyed the latest global ophthalmological trends to domestic ophthalmologists through interesting lectures and discussions. This year’s joint symposium was held with Switzerland, a country with an extremely developed ophthalmology practice.
In front of the “Perfect Vision” eye center, Dr. Branka Ivošević took an active part in the congress, who successfully presented her work within the Refractive Surgery session on the topic: “Tecnis Symfony intraocular lens with extended range of vision” . The work is the result of a multi-month study conducted in order to examine the postoperative quality of vision of patients who, in order to reduce dependence on wearing glasses and achieve an extended range of high-quality vision, were implanted with special diffractive intraocular lenses. “Perfect Vision” is one of only a few institutions in the country that provide the service of installing these state-of-the-art lenses, and Dr. Ivošević was very pleased to present the more than successful results of this study, which testify to the fact that all patients included in the study were satisfied with the quality of vision achieved. The main collaborator of Dr. Ivošević in the preparation of this work was Assoc. Dr. Sandrom Jovanović , head of the department for diseases of the posterior segment of the eye at the Clinic for Eye Diseases in Novi Sad (KCV) and a professional associate of the Perfect Vision eye center for many years.
A symposium of nurses and technicians was organized as part of the congress. The head nurse of “Perfect Vision”, Jelena Krulj, successfully passed the “Role of a nurse in the ophthalmology team” course, acquiring numerous useful knowledge that she will apply in her daily work with patients.
Ophthalmology gatherings of this kind enable our professional team to continuously monitor new trends and achievements, as well as exchange experiences and opinions with colleagues from different fields, in order to provide their patients with the highest quality and most modern methods of diagnosis and treatment.

No, the procedure is completely painless. It takes only a few minutes, and as early as the next day you can function normally without glasses or lenses.
If you notice that your vision is blurry, colors are fading and you struggle to drive at night, these are clear warning signs. Surgery restores clear vision and once cataracts are diagnosed, it should not be postponed.
The biggest advantage is that you forget about glasses – both for near and far. This means you can read a book, use your phone and drive without additional visual aids.
You absolutely do! Toric lenses are specifically designed to correct astigmatism and provide clear vision.
These are artificial lenses that are placed inside the eye, while your natural lens remains untouched. They are an excellent option for younger people with high diopters who are not candidates for laser vision correction.
