– I’m afraid of the needle and the therapy, which makes me sick… and it’s not difficult for me to travel alone to the hospital, just to know that I will return home from it… – Nemanja Leontijević (13) tells “Blic” as she looks with eyes filled with sadness.

This boy from the village of Kožuar was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone tumor, 15 months ago. He lives in difficult conditions with his mother Slađana, father Dušan, sister Jelena (10) and brother Stefan (2). He was operated on in April 2015, so he started chemotherapies. Due to the family’s financial situation, he travels alone for chemotherapy and stays in the hospital alone, without his parents, sometimes for ten days.

– It’s not difficult for me, just to know that I will return – says Nemanja.

The Leontijević family does not have a bathroom, they all sleep in the same room, which is the only one that is heated.
