The Perfect Vision Team at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) Winter Congress

The 22nd Winter Congress of the European Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons was held in our capital, in the Sava Center, in the period from 9-11. February.

At this most renowned European ophthalmology meeting, which was attended by over 1,100 of the biggest experts from around the world, our institution was represented by Dr. Branka Ivošević.

By attending expert lectures, free work sessions and didactic and instructional courses, Dr. Ivošević had the opportunity to share practical experiences and professional theoretical knowledge with the greatest ophthalmology experts, thus confirming the high standards by which the Eye Center “Perfect Vision” is guided in its work.

At this year’s congress, special emphasis was placed on the so-called “Near Live Surgery”, video sessions dedicated to improving practical surgical skills.

Dr. Branka Ivošević was one of the participants of the “Refractive Fellowship Round Table” organized by the American company Alcon.

As a representative of an institution known in Serbia as a leader in the implantation of multifocal intraocular lenses, Dr. Branka Ivošević was invited to attend the presentation of HANITA FullRange multifocal lenses.

The technicians of our team Jelena Krulj, Davor Buljovčić, Olivera Trifunović and Slađana Petrekanović participated in the all-day didactic program organized by the European Association of Ophthalmic Nurses and Technicians (ESONT), held on February 10.

Through various symposia, case reports, interactive and practical courses, our technicians had the opportunity to acquire a lot of useful knowledge and information in areas such as: sterilization and control of intrahospital infections, outcomes of cataract and refractive surgeries from the patient’s point of view, biometrics, OCT theory and many others.
