Participation in the European Congress of Refractive and Cataract Surgeons (ESCRS)

Our ophthalmologists were also participants in this year’s European Meeting of Refractive and Cataract Surgeons ( ESCRS ), which took place in Barcelona from September 6 to 10, 2024. This event brought together leading experts in the field of ophthalmology with the aim of exchanging the latest knowledge and innovations.

During the congress, the latest techniques and technologies applied in refractive surgery and cataract operations were presented. Innovations in the implantation of intraocular lenses and advanced approaches to personalization of treatment, which promise significant improvements in the quality of vision of patients, attracted special attention.

In addition, one of the key topics of the congress was the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and telemedicine on eye surgery. Applications of AI in the analysis of medical images and optimization of diagnostic processes, as well as the use of telemedicine to provide consultations and monitor patients remotely, were discussed. These technologies promise to improve the accuracy of diagnoses and the accessibility of health care, which will significantly improve the quality of the services we provide.

Our experts had the opportunity to participate in workshops and panel discussions that covered a wide range of topics, from minimally invasive procedures to the latest developments in diopter correction. This congress also provided a valuable opportunity to network and exchange experiences with colleagues from all over Europe, thus improving our knowledge and approaches in practice.
