We are proud to share the news that Dr. Branka Ivošević was declared one of the 100 most successful business women at the third national competition “100 Successful Business Women” . The organizer of this competition is the Public Company Pošta Srbije , whose mission is to support female entrepreneurship and the development of businesses owned by women.
The competition “100 successful business women” was open from March 8 to April 8, 2024 for all entrepreneurs and legal representatives or founders of small businesses from the territory of the whole of Serbia, including agricultural cooperatives, craft shops, institutions, associations, as well as for women who are responsible for family farming.
The evaluation criteria were:
- the success of the presented business activity and business idea,
- awards in the field of business or creativity,
- socially responsible activities.
The ceremonial announcement of the winners was held today in the premises of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in Belgrade . Dr. Ivošević will have the privilege of participating in special educational workshops on topics such as:
- marketing,
- sales techniques,
- assertive communication,
- business digitalization,
- sources of financing,
- market research,
- creating a business plan,
- project management,
- networking and performance on the foreign market.
These workshops are part of the prize package provided by PKS for all 100 winners of this competition. This is also the first time that the winners of the competition were able to upgrade their knowledge and skills in the form of education on the ten most current topics in business management in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
The competition was open from March 8 to April 8, 2024 for entrepreneurs, legal representatives of small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, craft shops and other organizations from the territory of the whole of Serbia. Applications were evaluated by expert commissions, which included prominent figures such as Tatjana Matić (Development Fund), Jelena Galić (AIK Bank) and Branislava Simanić (PKS).
This recognition further motivates us to continue in the future with the same enthusiasm and passion in providing the best services to our patients. Festival opening ceremony
With the awarding of the “Aleksandar Lifka” award to our celebrated actor Bogdan Diklić on July 15, 2023, the 30th European Film Festival began in Palić. The award was presented by Duško Kovačević, the president of the Council, together with Radoslav Zelenović, the director of the FEF.
“Dick is one of our most important actors who played roles in memorable films. This year is exactly 40 years since the premiere of Marathonac , which is a nice story, but also a reminder that we were 40 years younger then, and that’s why that film is so tragic,” said Duško Kovačević.
The director of the festival, Radoslav Zelenović, pointed out that the festival has been going on for three decades: “If it was easy – it wasn’t. If it was a pleasure – it was. If it could have been more – probably. If it could have been better – it was difficult. The best thing was when the presidents of the festival council helped: Žilnik, Lečić, Milena Dravić, Mira Banjac and Duško Kovačević.”
Igor Mirović , President of the Provincial Government, emphasized the importance of the festival and the development of the film industry in Serbia: “Culture is the foundation of the spirituality and survival of a nation, and here we see dedication to film and art.”
At the end of the ceremony, the main competition program opened with the film “Madame Di Bari” directed by Maywen, which depicts the life of Jeanne Becque, the last official mistress of Louis XV.

The TUV Nord company, one of the leaders in the field of quality management system certification for Central and Eastern Europe, awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certificate to the Perfect Vision Eye Center, under which we have been operating for several years.
This internationally recognized document, recognizable in the business world of Europe, confirms that the recipient of the certificate follows the most modern standards in business management . The process of introducing the ISO 9001 standard itself lasted about 4 months , while re-checking is done every year.
“The certificate is an official confirmation that the services we provide are of high quality and that the work process is well organized and in accordance with valid European standards and regulations. Our goal is the continuous improvement of ophthalmic health care.” – said Dr. Branka Ivošević , emphasizing that the certificate obliges to further improve services and innovation.
All the employees who make up the Perfect Vision team are responsible for fulfilling all the conditions for maintaining business under the ISO standard. We received information from the representative of the certification body that we have confirmed with a large number of written procedures that describe our activities that we are a company that provides services precisely and in accordance with European standards .
At the conference entitled “Entrepreneurs – the development force of Serbia” held in the Palace of Serbia, the Minister of Economy, Anđelka Atanasković, met with prominent female entrepreneurs in the country on the occasion of Women’s Day. The conference was attended by more than 50 businesswomen, among whom was the representative of the Perfect Vision team, Branka Ivošević, a member of the Association of Business Women of Serbia.
In addition to Minister Atanasković, entrepreneurs were addressed by Milana Rikanović, Director of the United Nations Agency for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (UN Woman) in Serbia, Branislava Simanić, Director of the Entrepreneurship Sector of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Sanja Popović Pantić, President of the Association of Business Women of Serbia, Ljiljana Karaklajić D Express, Ljiljana Savić and Irena Krsmanović MDM NEW FASHION DOO, Nina Rusić INDIJANA DOO.
The conference was held with the aim of raising public awareness of women’s entrepreneurship by presenting current support programs for women entrepreneurs with the presence of the media. Selected female entrepreneurs who participated in the conference presented their successful business models and shared with others the challenges they face.
“We must act together all 365 days of the year, as well as advocate every day for the full realization of the economic, political and social equality of women in society,” said Minister Anđelka Atanasković. She pointed out that women entrepreneurs make up only a quarter of the total number of businessmen in Serbia, but that there is a trend of increasing the number of women in leading positions in companies, which indicates that dedicated and hard work knows no gender.
Director of the UN Agency for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, Milana Rilaković, pointed out that a total of 23 women’s civil society organizations received grant support for the implementation of projects in the field of improving the position of women on the labor market and for the purpose of economic empowerment of rural women.
Branislava Simanić, director of the entrepreneurship sector at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, stated that the Serbian Chamber of Commerce recognizes female entrepreneurship as a strong source of employment and that the economic empowerment of women should be a strategic project of the state.
The president of the Association of Business Women of Serbia, Sanja Popović Pantić, pointed to the success of cooperation with the Ministry of Economy through joint projects they worked on, among which is the management of gender statistics in the field of entrepreneurship, so that it would be possible to follow the trends in the development of female entrepreneurship as precisely as possible and create adequate measures.
In the end, the minister concluded: “Women have never had more power, strength and help from the state to succeed. Use it, and the ministry is here to help.”
We were reminded on March 8 that a woman should feel privileged every day just because she is a woman, and that she can without a doubt be at the head of successful companies, we show by personal example. By participating in the conference as well as being a member of the Association of Business Women of Serbia, we support and emphasize the importance of joint action and mutual support of women, because together we can conquer the world.
Audit consultancy firm Ernst & Young (EY) organizes the “EY Entrepreneur of the Year” competition for the best domestic entrepreneurs in Serbia for the tenth year. It was a great honor and pleasure for us to be among the selected 34 best domestic entrepreneurs in 2021, which was more than challenging.
EY Entrepreneur of the Year is a prestigious global award for achievements in business. The program is global in nature and recognizes entrepreneurs who have achieved success with the help of their vision, innovation and leadership. As the only award of its kind, it is awarded at the regional, national and global level in 60 countries around the world.
This program supports and encourages the qualities that the best domestic entrepreneurs should possess – entrepreneurial spirit, vision and strategy, concrete financial indicators, regional or international business, creativity and innovation as well as personal integrity . 34 candidates from 28 companies, operating in 16 industries and 9 cities of Serbia, participated in this year’s program. These companies employ over 2,000 people, and in the previous year alone, they achieved a total business income of 122 million euros.

Eye problems solved by intraocular lenses
We strive to constantly improve cataract surgery , which is most often performed in our eye center, in order to provide patients with maximum comfort, speed, safety and efficiency. Cataract, or gray cataract, is surgically removed and a new, clear intraocular lens is implanted in its place. From the very beginning, we differ from most eye clinics in that, in addition to removing cataracts, we also try to remove the diopter that patients have.
One very common diopter that patients have is astigmatism , a refractive error of the eye, where the patient’s cornea is irregularly curved. The different refractive power results in an elongated image that the patient sees, which occurs due to the elliptical, rather than circular, shape of the cornea. Astigmatism is permanently corrected by installing a toric lens.
The most modern toric lenses here
We start the year with a small victory for us, as well as for our patients. At the end of January of this year, we were the first in the country to install intraocular Tecnis Eyhance toric lenses , manufactured by Johnson & Johnson, thus completing all lenses from the Eyhance family.
The technology used by this pharmaceutical company contributes to the permanent elimination of cataracts, distance diopters, and at the same time the correction of astigmatism after the installation of this lens. But in addition, what sets it apart from our existing types of monofocal lenses that we offer, is a clear vision at the middle distance , which is considered a distance of 60 to 80 cm.
By implanting the Eyhance toric lens, the patient gets good vision without prescription glasses at long and medium distance in one painless and quick operation. It is important because it facilitates daily functioning when working at the computer, provides improved vision when looking at the dashboard in the car, when playing board games, reading prices in the store, applying makeup, and the like. They provide clear vision even under poor lighting as well as when driving at night.

She started her career as an ophthalmologist at the eye department of the Subotica General Hospital, where she stood out beyond the borders of Subotica because of her achievements and successes.
