” How do we feel? Unburdened, free, satisfied. The operation has definitely changed our lives for the better, the quality of that “visual life” has improved, if I may say so.” – this is how Veselin Milunović (50) from Sremska Kamenica begins his story, who, together with his parents Anđelija (71) and Miloj (76), underwent an operation with the installation of trifocal intraocular lenses in the Center for Laser Eye Surgery “Perfect Vision” on the same day.
They came to “Perfect Vision” based on the recommendation of Veselin’s friend, and did not even consider the offers of other clinics. They made the first contact with the clinic 3 years ago, but they waited to collect enough money because they wanted to do the operation together. They thoroughly researched, watched videos and guest appearances by Dr. Branka Ivošević, which helped them solidify their decision to have the surgery in Subotica.
“I read comments on your website where one patient thanks another for the recommendation because it changed his life, so now I would also like to thank my friend Dragan, because this is definitely the best solution. I had as many as three diopters for reading, for work and for driving, and wearing three glasses was an impossible mission. Not to forget to mention that I often lost glasses, changed diopters, which was all a significant financial expense. ” – he points out. Veselin.
“What can I tell you, now I easily thread the needle, I can read even the smallest letters… I feel reborn, as if my whole body is easier. Before, I staggered a bit while walking, I was insecure, especially when going up the stairs, but now it’s a treat! My husband said that after 20 years he can read newspapers again without glasses, because he can see even the smallest letters.” – Angelija, Veselin’s mother, told us.
They point out that the operation with the installation of trifocal lenses went easily, the first eye was completely painless, they almost didn’t even have the impression that they were having surgery. During the operation of the second eye, they felt an unpleasant stinging at certain moments, but it was far from painful and unbearable.
When asked how they now look at their decision to undergo surgery, Veselin points out that surgery with the installation of trifocal intraocular lenses is definitely one of the better investments in life.
“One would think that the operation is expensive, but considering how much money we have spent so far on glasses and examinations, we are already in the black and this is for life. It’s really a big relief!”
All three have nothing but praise for the staff.
“I have never seen such a young, well-coordinated team of experts who are very kind, helpful and communicative. I would especially like to praiseDr. Branka, who does her job perfectly, carefully and with dedication.” – points out Mr. Miloje.
“On a scale of 1 to 100, the doctor deserves a 100!” continues Veselin and continues , “She is wonderful as a person and as an expert, she is fully dedicated to her work, she sets herself up as a friend to the patient, she is always at your service. Until now, I have only thought of Djokovic as having such greatness without being the least bit overbearing, and now I think the same about Dr. Ivošević. Yes, she is Djokovic in her work!” – Veselin ends with a smile.
Vanja Forgić is employed at the Center for Laser Eye Surgery Perfect Vision as a nurse. After more than a year of observing satisfied patients after laser diopter removal, Vanja decided to become one of them.
What was life like with high diopter? Why did she decide to undergo surgery to remove dioptres? Is laser diopter removal painful and how long does it take? What are the impressions after the operation?
See Vanya’s story after laser diopter removal.
Among the many patients who have trusted us, there are Nikola and Jovana Rašić from Belgrade. After detailed research and reading the experiences of other patients after surgery, they chose the Center for Laser Eye Surgery Perfect Vision as the facility where they want to get rid of diopters and the need to wear glasses and contact lenses forever.
Jovana (24) was a suitable candidate for laser diopter removal, which was performed using the PRK method. Nikoli (22) underwent an operation with the installation of intraocular lenses in both eyes.
In the following video, you can watch their experiences, feelings before and after the operation, as well as the reasons why they wanted to remove the diopter. Their parents, Nataša and Slaviša Rašić, expressed their impressions after the operations that changed their children’s lives forever.
“Since the age of 18, I have had diopters (cylinders 0.50) with which I could function without glasses, so I did not perceive my poor eyesight as a handicap. However, from the age of 36, my diopters increased every year, and then increased sharply at the age of 44.”
Some would say that -1.50 and -2.0 for distance, and +2.5 for reading is not a big dioptre, but for me it was quite enough to completely tie me to glasses, and two pairs, without which I could not function normally, because everything was blurry.
My job is such that I spend a lot of time in front of the computer, so wearing two pairs of glasses caused me difficulties at work. An even bigger problem for me was performing some everyday, basic actions. For example, when I get a message on my phone, I can’t read it until I put on my glasses, and when you’re e.g. in public transport, changing glasses quickly can be difficult. Also, like every woman, my problem was that I couldn’t put on nice make-up, do my eyebrows, nails, and that I couldn’t wear sunglasses at all for years.
When I realized how dependent I had become on glasses, I decided to find a solution to that problem. My older son wore glasses for 10 years and we visited a lot of eye clinics. Apart from kindness and expertise, I have to say that in the Perfect Vision clinic I saw such modern and contemporary technology for the first time. I really don’t know if there is anything similar anywhere in this area. This is a great thing, because you are sure that the diagnosis, which is very important, will be done in the best possible way. This is also the biggest reason why I decided not to do this operation in Belgrade, where I live, but to come to Subotica. When I first entered the clinic, I was delighted with the space, it is beautifully decorated, modernly equipped and at the same time in an excellent location, in the very center of the city, next to the bus station. Simply, the entire work of the clinic and staff is subordinated to the comfort of the patient.
Before the operation, I felt wonderful, relaxed, without fear or trepidation. I was very happy to be there and I couldn’t wait to enter the hall and solve my long-standing problem in about 10 minutes. I kept thinking about how wonderful it felt when I first put on my glasses and saw a sharp image. I fantasized about the day when I would see like that with my own eyes, without glasses, and that’s why I eagerly awaited the operation and, of course, before the effects.
The operation was painless and quick. It’s amazing how with one short procedure, you solve a problem in the long run. Recovery is comfortable and also fast. Already on the third day I could read, I could see fantastically at close range, better than with glasses. My distance was a little blurry, mostly because of the drip therapy I was using. At the check-up after 7 days, the doctor confirmed that I can now see 125%!
What can I tell you… After many years, I now go to the sea with sunglasses, I can finally see every message that comes to me, I can put on beautiful makeup, do my eyebrows, nails, not to mention how much easier it is for me to do my work at the computer.
I have two patients in my environment who have undergone this operation. Seeing them working fantastically, I decided to take this step myself and I am immensely grateful to them for their motivation. That’s why I would like to give a recommendation to all future patients, regardless of age. I want to use my example to encourage and motivate them to do the operation, because their whole life will be changed for the better. Try to overcome fear, surround yourself with good thoughts and bring only positive energy into the operating room. Then the results cannot be absent!
Best regards from Belgrade, Aleksandra Šašaroga (51 years old), Belgrade”
Since I was 3 years old, I couldn’t imagine a single day without glasses. Over time, due to macular degeneration, my vision deteriorated severely. Out of fear of losing my sight, and guided by the feeling that my children still need their mother very much, I decided to do something.
I visited several clinics in Hungary and Romania, in search of an operation that could preserve – improve my vision. However, due to macular degeneration, no one wanted to take responsibility and operate on me. I received a recommendation to seek help at a clinic in Subotica. I found the necessary information on your website, after which I decided to contact you.
I would especially appreciate the kindness and patience you showed me. We made the first contact in February, and I had surgery in June. All that time we were in communication, you answered every question I had and gave me hope that you could solve my problem. You instilled in me strong trust and faith, which is why I decided to travel 600 km to come to you.
You were very accommodating, you tried your best around me and did everything to make my stay in Subotica comfortable. You provided me with accommodation in a nice apartment in the city center. Thanks to the circumstances, the owner of the apartment is a psychologist, so the conversation with her was very pleasant and helped me remove even the little doubts I had. Thanks to your good organization, everything was finished in just three days.
Day 1 – Overview
When I opened the door of the clinic, I was surprised to say the least. I could not have imagined that it is this beautiful, the space is wonderful, the staff is smiling, everyone is willing to help… The atmosphere is really wonderful, as if I entered a “mini magic world”.
All the diagnostic imaging was done by Davor, who was really wonderful. I would especially like to praise Dr. Branka, who devoted herself very much to my examination. She gave me all the necessary information, not only to me but also to my son who was accompanying me. I was impressed that not only the patient is important to you, but also the people who are there to support the patient.
My impression after the first day was that everything here is great – the doctor, the staff, the space, the service… Everything is really the best, the best, the best! With impatience, but also a small amount of fear, I was waiting for tomorrow, when the operation with the installation of aspheric intraocular lenses was scheduled.
Day 2 – surgery
I have to admit that I was really scared before the operation. Immediately after finishing it, I realized that there was no need for it at all. The operation is not painful, the feeling is a little unpleasant, as if a mosquito had entered my eye.
The operation was performed under local anesthesia, which bothered me at first because I thought it would be better to be put to sleep. But now I realize that local anesthesia given in the form of drops, withoutinjections, is definitely the best option, because as soon as the operation was over, I opened my eyes and could see the effects of the operation. I just opened my eyes and finally, after so many years, I could see with my own eyes, without glasses! That feeling cannot be described.
I would like to mention that my goal was not to get rid of my glasses (they never bothered me), I just wanted to preserve, possibly improve my eyesight. The fact that I can now see without glasses is a real miracle, a bonus gift for me. Thank you and a million thanks to Dr. Branka and her entire team.
I’m from a small town where everyone knows each other. Practically everyone in town knew that I was rejected for surgery and that I came to Subotica. Everyone was waiting impatiently for my son to tell them the outcome. You can imagine their delight when he told them the operation was a success!
Day 3 – control
At the first check-up the day after the operation, the doctor told me that the operation was successful and that my vision will stabilize. The next control is scheduled for 7 days.
I followed all the instructions from the doctor, rested and took the prescribed therapy. Every day the vision was getting better. It was strange to me that I no longer wear glasses, because for 42 years they were an integral part of me. Now as soon as I get up in the morning and go to the bathroom, I can see my image in the mirror, clean and clear.
After seven days, I came for my next check-up. I don’t think I can describe in words the feeling when the doctor told me that my vision is now 100%! I instinctively hugged her and cried. With this operation, a new world has opened up for me, because I can finally see with my own eyes!
I want to send you a big THANK YOU! First and foremost, I would like to thank Dr. Branka, who saved me. Thanks also to the girl at the reception desk, Nevena, who gave me all the necessary information in fluent Hungarian, thanks to Slađa, the instrument operator in the room who also explained the entire course of the operation to me in Hungarian, thanks to Davor who prepared me for the operation, and I would especially like to praise Dora, the girl who patiently answered all my questions and without whom I would not be where I am today!
I felt really nice at your place and regardless of the distance, I will only come here for all my check-ups, because I won’t find the trust I gained in you anywhere else.
With respect,
Erika Bokor (45 years old), spa manager, Sovata (Romania)
Zoran Jošić (52), a doctor by profession, lives and works in Spain. For many years he wore multifocal glasses for near and far. However, as he says, it was neither comfortable nor cheap.
Changing the dioptre, losing glasses, needing to wear two pairs of glasses in the summer, for vision and for the sun… These are all reasons why I decided to have surgery with the installation of multifocal lenses. The fact that you have the largest number of installed multifocal lenses in the country, as well as the best price-quality ratio, were enough reasons for me to come from Spain to Subotica and seek help at the Perfect Vision clinic.
During the detailed preoperative examination, highly sophisticated imaging was done, based on which we obtained all the necessary calculations for the operation. All risk factors were excluded and the patient was found to be a suitable candidate for multifocal intraocular lens implantation.
Dr. Jošić was implanted with the latest generation multifocal intraocular lenses. trifocal lenses that focus light rays in as many as three points on the retina. This enables good vision in the distance, close up, but also in the “middle” distance (the distance of the computer monitor, dashboard in the vehicle, etc.).
Before the operation, I did not have the slightest trepidation, because I had full confidence in the staff, due to the outstanding results in practice and the small number of complications. As a doctor, these were the most important factors for me in making a decision about choosing a surgeon. The operation went well, painlessly, without any disturbances or discomfort.
The excellent results of the operation were confirmed at the postoperative control. Before the operation, the patient saw only 30%, and after only five days, maximum visual acuity was achieved – the patient now sees 100%!
It’s been a few days since the operation, and the difference is huge – I can already read the smallest letters without glasses. My experience is that everything is really perfect with you, just like the name of your clinic says. I would like to point out the kindness and professionalism of the staff, and especially the humanity and warmth they have in their relationship with the patient. You have gained another satisfied patient who will be happy to share his experience with others.
Mirjana Knežević (67) from Belgrade came to the Perfect Vision eye center wanting to undergo cataract surgery. Because of the fear that existed, she postponed the operation until the last moment, when the disturbances became unbearable.
It got to the point where I could see in my right eye as if through thick nylon. At night it was fine, but during the day I could barely function, the light bothered me terribly, the colors spilled out… In the sun, I had to wear two pairs of glasses – prescription and sun glasses, because I couldn’t see anything. I tried to solve the problem with glasses with a higher diopter, but it just got worse. I knew surgery was the only option.
It was not difficult to decide where to perform the operation. She had already visited the Perfect Vision eye center on several occasions, but accompanied by other patients. Namely, six years ago, her husband was operated on in our institution, and two years ago, her son was operated on.
My husband’s diopter increased from -5.0 to -12.0 in a couple of months. In Belgrade, they told him that he was on the verge of going blind. On a recommendation, we came to Subotica where he underwent an operation, after which he regained his sight. That’s when we gained trust in Dr. Ivošević, and two years ago, my son also decided to have laser diopter removal here. After six years of wearing contact lenses with a dioptre of -2.5, frequent infections, losing lenses, spare glasses… he can see perfectly today! – Mirjana told us.
Mirjana came to the examination together with her godmother Vinka Ranković (63) from Belgrade , who wanted to get rid of the need to wear glasses and a dioptre of -5.0. During the examination, the initial stage of cataract and glaucoma was established, which Vinka did not know before.
I wanted to get rid of the dioptre, because so far I have paid so much money for glasses that I have paid off the surgery a long time ago, which is lucky that I came earlier. I was given a very detailed examination of almost 2.5 hours, during which I was diagnosed with glaucoma. I was given guidelines for further treatment to keep this disease under control. – said Vinka.
Godfathers were operated on the same day – first the right eye, and a week later the left eye. They were each other’s greatest support and wind at their backs.
Because of the fear I felt, I was the one who procrastinated, and my godmother was waiting for me to come together for the operation. If I had known it would be this easy, I would have done it even earlier. I literally did not feel anything, no matter what injections and pains! Just seven days after surgery, the difference is huge. Even with the best glasses, I could not see the way I see now. – Mirjana told us immediately after the second eye operation, waiting for her godmother to come out of the operating room.
On the second day of surgery, these two lovely women end up smiling, with bandages over the operated eye. Far more relaxed than on the day of the first operation, they shared with us their overall impressions.
The service is fantastic! They all shower us with attention, they are very kind and accommodating. Calm and quiet, without much fanfare, they do their job perfectly! Of course, how affordable you are is also important. Namely, this operation is up to 300 euros more expensive per eye in Belgrade. We have no complaints, we give you more than a plus, if possible! We are now calm for the rest of our lives! 🙂 – the smiling godmothers finish in unison.
One of the most important and basic things that a person with a health problem should solve in a proper way is to find a doctor who will successfully rehabilitate that problem. In the case of the most serious diseases, where the solution can only be found in surgery, such as cataract surgery, then that person must locate a surgeon who is a perfectionist by his psychological characteristics, a person who has the human virtue of wanting to help a person who is in trouble and who is a surgeon of the highest expertise.
The majority of doctors and surgeons are just ordinary mortals who, like all other people who “procrastinate” on their work, can’t wait until they can “wipe out” their house to do some nicer and more fun things for them. Such doctors, especially surgeons, cannot miss the careful eye of the patient from the moment of entering his office or even better, the clinic.
Most often, a little chaos reigns in the reception department of the clinic, where patients wait in endless lines, practically rooting because of the wait, which already stretches for hours, and where it is not known who it is and why it is his turn to be examined.
Additional indicators that round off an accurate assessment of the surgeon and the expected outcome of the operation are visual information, e.g. that the clinic is equipped with outdated instruments that have long since outlived their useful life and that it gives the impression of an untidy waiting room behind the train station, the corridors are dirty, filled with unpleasant odors that force you to change your environment as soon as possible – maybe even running!
The Perfect Vision clinic absolutely stands out from all the others, at least that’s my personal impression (which rarely deceives me). And here’s why…
Namely, at the moment when I decided to undergo cataract surgery, I first experienced a catastrophic experience in the state clinic in Belgrade, where the head of the ophthalmology department examined both eyes together in literally 20 seconds (and after a full 3 hours of waiting in the waiting room) succinctly concluded that the cataract on the left eye was in its final stage, noted the degeneration of the macula (although the fundus was not visible due to the cataract) and the deterioration of the optic nerve, as a result of glaucoma.
I then decided to visit three more private clinics, in order to verify these devastating findings of the irresponsible chief, but I did not find any suitable features that would give me at least some confidence that my very delicate surgical procedure would be guaranteed to be a success and not a disaster.
After these visits, I decided on a short trip to Subotica, to the Perfect Vision clinic, where, to my great satisfaction, from the moment I entered the reception department until the examination in Dr. Branka Ivošević’s office, I got the impression that the entire clinic functions as a perfectly coordinated mechanism, that everything is perfectly clean and tidy, and that even the toilets are so clean the whole day, as if no one had ever set foot in them. In short – “like a pharmacy”! At the clinic, everyone knows their job, and Dr. Branka is a top specialist in his field, whose every operation is successful. She organized and designed the entire work of the clinic, so she is perfect in the full sense of the word! It gives you confidence that guarantees 100% success of your future operation.
Svetomir Mihajlović (71), New Belgrade
mechanical engineer
Slaviša Spasojević (age 62) from Bijeljina came to our institution on the recommendation of a friend who underwent surgery.
Since he was not a suitable candidate for laser dioptre removal due to the initial clouding of the lens, he was advised surgery with the implantation of intraocular lenses.
Slaviša wanted to solve the cataract problem with one operation, but also to permanently get rid of dioptres and the need to wear glasses for near and far vision.
It is equipped with the latest trifocal intraocular lenses , which, unlike standard multifocal lenses with two focuses for near and far, have a third focus and provide good intermediate vision, i.e. medium distance vision.
The operations on both eyes were performed one week apart. Already at the check-up the day after the first eye surgery, Slavisa was positively surprised by the results achieved.
In the following, we present his experience at the first check-up after the operation of the other eye.
Anto Marić is a retired train driver from Vrbas. Throughout his working life, he underwent strict medical checks, he was always healthy and in full strength. Fortunately, he rarely saw doctors, he says.
At the beginning of the year, he noticed that his vision in his right eye was getting weaker and weaker. The picture was getting hazier and hazier day by day. He thought it was a normal consequence of his age and that glasses would solve the problem. However, in May he suddenly lost the sight in his right eye.
Living with cataracts
Everyday affairs were becoming real hell for him.
“I walked through the house as if I was missing half of my head, I often missed a step, I always had to hold on to objects on the side… Oh, it’s really hard, hell! I couldn’t function and I went to the hospital for an examination. They say – cataract, I have to be operated on. They refer me to Novi Sad and there they say that they will put me on the list, the question is when my turn will come.”
He sent a letter to our address asking us to help him. Within a few days, Ante came for an examination.
“In the neighboring street, as many as 6 neighbors were operated on by you and they are all very satisfied. They say: “One doctor operates in Subotica, without injections and pain, everything is done in 10 minutes.” So I had no doubt who to turn to for a solution to my problem. As soon as I sent the letter, Sister Jelena called me and asked when I could come for an examination.”
Examination for cataract surgery
[nggallery id=67]
As part of the preoperative examination, Mr. Marić underwent a complete eye examination with pupil dilation, visual acuity was determined, eye pressure was measured, and the front and back of the eye were examined under a biomicroscope. The diopter of the intraocular lens, which is implanted in the eye during surgery, was determined by ultrasound biometry.
On the same day, he performed a complete pre-operative preparation in our institution, which includes an internist’s examination and laboratory analyses.
Cataract surgery
Mr. Marić had a large tumor on his right eyelid. Dr. Branka Ivošević made the decision that it is necessary to excision of the tumor first, and only then perform cataract surgery.
[nggallery id=68]
After a few days, Ante came to the scheduled cataract surgery somewhat worried and nervous. The operation lasted only 15 minutes, and thanks to drip anesthesia, the procedure was painless and pleasant for the patient.
“Unbelievable, but nothing hurt! I didn’t even feel like something was being done on my eye. Everything was done so gently and professionally, I don’t know if it was down to the anesthesia or to Dr. Branka. Time flew by, I didn’t even know it was over, I thought we were only halfway there.”
Perfect vision without cataracts
At the second check, Mr. Marić appeared as a completely different man. Smiling, agile, visibly in a good mood.
At first glance, Ante saw only light. Only 7 days after the operation, his visual acuity is 0.63, i.e. he has better vision in the operated eye than in the other eye.
“To be honest, I had no hope that he would be fine. I gave only a 5% chance that I would see after the operation, I was afraid because of my age, because of the tumor… Now I can see better in the operated eye than in my other healthy eye! I thank you all, all the best to you! I have no words, this is like a gift from heaven, it’s wonderful when a person can see with both eyes!”

Perfect Vision is an Eye Laser Surgery Center located within the Kuća zdravlja Polyclinic, headquartered in Subotica.
Find answers to the most common questions about laser vision correction, cataracts and lens implantation. Everything you need to know before deciding on a procedure.
No, the procedure is completely painless. It takes only a few minutes, and as early as the next day you can function normally without glasses or lenses.
If you notice that your vision is blurry, colors are fading and you struggle to drive at night, these are clear warning signs. Surgery restores clear vision and once cataracts are diagnosed, it should not be postponed.
The biggest advantage is that you forget about glasses – both for near and far. This means you can read a book, use your phone and drive without additional visual aids.
You absolutely do! Toric lenses are specifically designed to correct astigmatism and provide clear vision.
These are artificial lenses that are placed inside the eye, while your natural lens remains untouched. They are an excellent option for younger people with high diopters who are not candidates for laser vision correction.
