New member of the Perfect Vision team – Dr. Radmila Jovišević
Our goal is not only a solution to your health problem. We strive to permanently improve the quality of your life by giving you a new perspective on the world. We put at your disposal the most valuable thing we have – knowledge and expertise .
We are proud to present a new member of our team, Dr. Radmila Jovišević , a specialist in anesthesiology. She is ready to complement her rich experience from the General Hospital in Subotica and Senta with new challenges that we will overcome together in our Eye Center.
The role of the anesthesiologist
An anesthesiologist is a doctor who is fully prepared and ready to assess, protect and regulate the patient’s vital functions that may be threatened before or during surgery due to various health factors. His role is to immediately recognize and treat all health problems that may arise during the preparation, the operation itself and recovery.
During operations, Dr. Radmila will be responsible for the safety and well-being of the patient , the stability of the health condition before, during and after cataract surgery. Her role goes beyond the operating room, as she carefully considers and assesses the patient’s health condition even before entering the operating room.

First day of operation
We share with you the photos taken on the first day of surgery with anesthesiologist Dr. Radmil. Smiling faces of patients are our confirmation that we are going in the right direction.
Perfect Vision team
“On the path of commitment to our vocation, we strive every day to move forward following the doctrines of modern medicine with the desire to follow, recognize, satisfy your needs and justify the trust you have placed in us.” – Dr. Branka Ivošević
And this year, we choose only the best for your eyes, trying to justify your long-term trust in accordance with our business strategy.
By implementing world ophthalmological trends, we were among the first in the country to include two new intraocular lenses in our offer – AcrySof IQ Vivity and AcrySof IQ Vivity toric .
Cataract surgery with diopter removal
We are sure that you are convinced that we are constantly improving the cataract surgery, which we perform most often, in order to provide you with the best vision, maximum comfort and safety. From the very beginning, we are different from most eye clinics, with a carefully defined strategy of trying to remove the diopter you have with cataract surgery.
For this reason, we do not stop in front of novelties and if we judge them to be safe, we are happy to embrace them and implement them. As you already know, we started the year as pioneers in the country by first installing Tecnis Eyhance toric intraocular lenses , manufactured by Johnson & Johnson, thus completing all lenses from the Eyhance family. We continue to expand our offer and that’s why we present to you new, noteworthy intraocular lenses.
New lenses in our offer
We decided to include the new Vivity lens in our carefully selected offer because of its functionality. By installing it, you will have good vision at a distance, and due to the extended depth of focus, you also get improved intermediate vision, that is, vision at a medium distance, which we often use in everyday activities such as working on a computer, recognizing numbers and symbols on the dashboard in a car, board games (cards and dominoes), recognizing prices when shopping, cooking and other everyday activities that we perform at a distance of between 44 and 60 cm.
AcrySof IQ Vivity intraocular lens corrects farsightedness and nearsightedness, while AcrySof IQ Vivity toric intraocular lens also corrects astigmatism, which is a refractive defect of the eye caused by irregular curvature of the cornea. The different refractive power leads to an elongated image that you can see if you have astigmatism, due to the elliptical shape of the cornea.

How is the operation performed?
Implantation of intraocular lenses is performed in both eyes, most often 5 to 7 days apart, because this is the best way to express their full potential.
The operation is painless and is performed under local anesthesia. The lens is implanted in the eye through a minimal incision of 2.2 mm, without injections or stitches. This operation is a one-day surgery, which means that the patient goes home after the operation. Recovery is quick and comfortable, and the patient can return to normal life activities after 5-7 days, while heavy physical work and sports activities are not advised in the first 2-3 weeks.

Doctors and consultants of the Center for Laser Eye Surgery Perfect Vision, Ph.D. Branka Ivošević , Assoc. Dr. Ivan Marjanović and Prof. Dr. Sofija Davidović .
Due to the difficult conditions caused by the Covid19 pandemic, the congress was somewhat smaller than usual, bearing in mind that an online platform was also organized. Nevertheless, our doctors had the privilege of attending lectures by some of the most prominent experts in the field of ophthalmology. We exchanged practical experiences with colleagues from all over the world. We had the honor to spend some time in a pleasant conversation with prof. Rafael I. Barraquer , director of the largest ophthalmological institute in Spain “Barraquer Ophthalmology Center” and one of the best anterior segment surgeons in Europe.

We see the privilege of exchanging experiences in the company of the best ophthalmologists in the world as an opportunity to provide our patients with even better services by adopting new knowledge and trends in the field of ophthalmic surgery. We are especially pleased to confirm that the Center for Laser Eye Surgery Perfect Vision keeps pace with modern world ophthalmology.
In order to respond more quickly, efficiently and comfortably to the demands of the increased volume of work, a new operating block was built in the “Perfect Vision” Eye Center.

In an area of 150m 2 , equipped according to the highest international standards, there are two ophthalmological operating rooms with accompanying rooms, a space for preoperative preparation of patients and comfortable apartments, which enables the accommodation of patients from various parts of our country and abroad.

At the very beginning, the Perfect Vision eye center consisted of one ophthalmologist, one ambulant and one operating room. Today, eight years later, our twenty-member team includes nine ophthalmologists whose twenty-year experience is measured by tens of thousands of successful operations. Today, our eye center includes five ophthalmology clinics on the ground floor and a new operating block, located on the first floor.

Cataract operations with the installation of all types of intraocular lenses and other operations on the front segment of the eye will now be performed in a new, expanded and improved space, which gives us the opportunity to provide our patients with an even better service.

Mirjana Knežević (67) from Belgrade came to the Perfect Vision eye center wanting to undergo cataract surgery. Because of the fear that existed, she postponed the operation until the last moment, when the disturbances became unbearable.
It got to the point where I could see in my right eye as if through thick nylon. At night it was fine, but during the day I could barely function, the light bothered me terribly, the colors spilled out… In the sun, I had to wear two pairs of glasses – prescription and sun glasses, because I couldn’t see anything. I tried to solve the problem with glasses with a higher diopter, but it just got worse. I knew surgery was the only option.
It was not difficult to decide where to perform the operation. She had already visited the Perfect Vision eye center on several occasions, but accompanied by other patients. Namely, six years ago, her husband was operated on in our institution, and two years ago, her son was operated on.
My husband’s diopter increased from -5.0 to -12.0 in a couple of months. In Belgrade, they told him that he was on the verge of going blind. On a recommendation, we came to Subotica where he underwent an operation, after which he regained his sight. That’s when we gained trust in Dr. Ivošević, and two years ago, my son also decided to have laser diopter removal here. After six years of wearing contact lenses with a dioptre of -2.5, frequent infections, losing lenses, spare glasses… he can see perfectly today! – Mirjana told us.

Mirjana came to the examination together with her godmother Vinka Ranković (63) from Belgrade , who wanted to get rid of the need to wear glasses and a dioptre of -5.0. During the examination, the initial stage of cataract and glaucoma was established, which Vinka did not know before.
I wanted to get rid of the dioptre, because so far I have paid so much money for glasses that I have paid off the surgery a long time ago, which is lucky that I came earlier. I was given a very detailed examination of almost 2.5 hours, during which I was diagnosed with glaucoma. I was given guidelines for further treatment to keep this disease under control. – said Vinka.
Godfathers were operated on the same day – first the right eye, and a week later the left eye. They were each other’s greatest support and wind at their backs.
Because of the fear I felt, I was the one who procrastinated, and my godmother was waiting for me to come together for the operation. If I had known it would be this easy, I would have done it even earlier. I literally did not feel anything, no matter what injections and pains! Just seven days after surgery, the difference is huge. Even with the best glasses, I could not see the way I see now. – Mirjana told us immediately after the second eye operation, waiting for her godmother to come out of the operating room.
On the second day of surgery, these two lovely women end up smiling, with bandages over the operated eye. Far more relaxed than on the day of the first operation, they shared with us their overall impressions.
The service is fantastic! They all shower us with attention, they are very kind and accommodating. Calm and quiet, without much fanfare, they do their job perfectly! Of course, how affordable you are is also important. Namely, this operation is up to 300 euros more expensive per eye in Belgrade. We have no complaints, we give you more than a plus, if possible! We are now calm for the rest of our lives! 🙂 – the smiling godmothers finish in unison.

The majority of doctors and surgeons are just ordinary mortals who, like all other people who “procrastinate” on their work, can’t wait until they can “wipe out” their house to do some nicer and more fun things for them. Such doctors, especially surgeons, cannot miss the careful eye of the patient from the moment of entering his office or even better, the clinic.
Most often, a little chaos reigns in the reception department of the clinic, where patients wait in endless lines, practically rooting because of the wait, which already stretches for hours, and where it is not known who it is and why it is his turn to be examined.
Additional indicators that round off an accurate assessment of the surgeon and the expected outcome of the operation are visual information, e.g. that the clinic is equipped with outdated instruments that have long since outlived their useful life and that it gives the impression of an untidy waiting room behind the train station, the corridors are dirty, filled with unpleasant odors that force you to change your environment as soon as possible – maybe even running!
The Perfect Vision clinic absolutely stands out from all the others, at least that’s my personal impression (which rarely deceives me). And here’s why…
Namely, at the moment when I decided to undergo cataract surgery, I first experienced a catastrophic experience in the state clinic in Belgrade, where the head of the ophthalmology department examined both eyes together in literally 20 seconds (and after a full 3 hours of waiting in the waiting room) succinctly concluded that the cataract on the left eye was in its final stage, noted the degeneration of the macula (although the fundus was not visible due to the cataract) and the deterioration of the optic nerve, as a result of glaucoma.
I then decided to visit three more private clinics, in order to verify these devastating findings of the irresponsible chief, but I did not find any suitable features that would give me at least some confidence that my very delicate surgical procedure would be guaranteed to be a success and not a disaster.
After these visits, I decided on a short trip to Subotica, to the Perfect Vision clinic, where, to my great satisfaction, from the moment I entered the reception department until the examination in Dr. Branka Ivošević’s office, I got the impression that the entire clinic functions as a perfectly coordinated mechanism, that everything is perfectly clean and tidy, and that even the toilets are so clean the whole day, as if no one had ever set foot in them. In short – “like a pharmacy”!
At the clinic, everyone knows their job, and Dr. Branka is a top specialist in his field, whose every operation is successful. She organized and designed the entire work of the clinic, so she is perfect in the full sense of the word! It gives you confidence that guarantees 100% success of your future operation.

Slaviša Spasojević (age 62) from Bijeljina came to our institution on the recommendation of a friend who underwent surgery.
Since he was not a suitable candidate for laser dioptre removal due to the initial clouding of the lens, he was advised surgery with the implantation of intraocular lenses.
Slaviša wanted to solve the cataract problem with one operation, but also to permanently get rid of dioptres and the need to wear glasses for near and far vision.
It is equipped with the latest trifocal intraocular lenses , which, unlike standard multifocal lenses with two focuses for near and far, have a third focus and provide good intermediate vision, i.e. medium distance vision.
The operations on both eyes were performed one week apart. Already at the check-up the day after the first eye surgery, Slavisa was positively surprised by the results achieved.
In the following, we present his experience at the first check-up after the operation of the other eye.
Anto Marić is a retired train driver from Vrbas. Throughout his working life, he underwent strict medical checks, he was always healthy and in full strength. Fortunately, he rarely saw doctors, he says.
At the beginning of the year, he noticed that his vision in his right eye was getting weaker and weaker. The picture was getting hazier and hazier day by day. He thought it was a normal consequence of his age and that glasses would solve the problem. However, in May he suddenly lost the sight in his right eye.
Living with cataracts
Everyday affairs were becoming real hell for him.
“I walked through the house as if I was missing half of my head, I often missed a step, I always had to hold on to objects on the side… Oh, it’s really hard, hell! I couldn’t function and I went to the hospital for an examination. They say – cataract, I have to be operated on. They refer me to Novi Sad and there they say that they will put me on the list, the question is when my turn will come.”
He sent a letter to our address asking us to help him. Within a few days, Ante came for an examination.
“In the neighboring street, as many as 6 neighbors were operated on by you and they are all very satisfied. They say: “One doctor operates in Subotica, without injections and pain, everything is done in 10 minutes.” So I had no doubt who to turn to for a solution to my problem. As soon as I sent the letter, Sister Jelena called me and asked when I could come for an examination.”
Examination for cataract surgery
[nggallery id=67]
As part of the preoperative examination, Mr. Marić underwent a complete eye examination with pupil dilation, visual acuity was determined, eye pressure was measured, and the front and back of the eye were examined under a biomicroscope. The diopter of the intraocular lens, which is implanted in the eye during surgery, was determined by ultrasound biometry.
On the same day, he performed a complete pre-operative preparation in our institution, which includes an internist’s examination and laboratory analyses.
Cataract surgery
Mr. Marić had a large tumor on his right eyelid. Dr. Branka Ivošević made the decision that it is necessary to excision of the tumor first, and only then perform cataract surgery.
[nggallery id=68]
After a few days, Ante came to the scheduled cataract surgery somewhat worried and nervous. The operation lasted only 15 minutes, and thanks to drip anesthesia, the procedure was painless and pleasant for the patient.
“Unbelievable, but nothing hurt! I didn’t even feel like something was being done on my eye. Everything was done so gently and professionally, I don’t know if it was down to the anesthesia or to Dr. Branka. Time flew by, I didn’t even know it was over, I thought we were only halfway there.”
Perfect vision without cataracts
At the second check, Mr. Marić appeared as a completely different man. Smiling, agile, visibly in a good mood.
At first glance, Ante saw only light. Only 7 days after the operation, his visual acuity is 0.63, i.e. he has better vision in the operated eye than in the other eye.
“To be honest, I had no hope that he would be fine. I gave only a 5% chance that I would see after the operation, I was afraid because of my age, because of the tumor… Now I can see better in the operated eye than in my other healthy eye! I thank you all, all the best to you! I have no words, this is like a gift from heaven, it’s wonderful when a person can see with both eyes!”
