I was almost blind because of cataracts, I could only see light and shadows. I got lost in my house, I moved by feeling the things around me. The hardest thing for me was not being able to work in the garden, which I love the most. In autumn, I didn’t see anything, I sat on a small chair, close to the ground, and planted by feel. It was really hard! But I was very afraid of the operation, because I saw in Novi Sad how people went blind after an unsuccessful operation, and that’s why I kept postponing it.
