The new year is a new opportunity to be even better!
For us, the holiday season is a rare moment of respite in which we can sum up everything we have accomplished and plan everything that lies ahead. When we look back, the past year has been a year of great things for us.
In an effort to make our services more accessible to our patients, we have organized various promotions, discounts and other financial benefits throughout the year. In the research we conducted, we found that we are one of the most affordable private clinics in the country, and we kept our prices unchanged, refreshing them only with the aforementioned discounts. Summer has remained for us in the sign of the “Great Summer Lasering”, a ten-day prize game in which a beautiful girl made her dream come true and said goodbye to her refractive error forever. We have taken it a step further and started workshops for patients “My eyes – my right to know”. The workshop is a unique opportunity for all those interested in laser vision correction in a pleasant company with our staff, to find out everything they wanted through a conversation with the doctor, but also with previously operated patients. We have organized a large number of humanitarian projects, which have made a significant contribution to the improvement of health care. As a gold sponsor of the Humanitarian Goodwill Tennis Tournament, we have donated significant funds to help local educational institutions. We participated in the first Saturday Fair for children where we performed free eye examinations for children and parents. With voluntary contributions, we supported a humanitarian concert organized by the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired. On the occasion of the World Glaucoma Week, we held an educational lecture on this insidious disease with free examinations of the optic nerve and measurement of intraocular pressure. We took part in the European educational project “Researchers’ Night”, presenting our fellow citizens with the sense of sight from a more entertaining aspect. We have joined the “One in a Million” project of the “Ana and Vlade Divac” Foundation by continuously donating funds for the reconstruction of primary schools in Serbia. We delighted many children whose parents are war and fallen soldiers with sweet New Year’s packages. We have started our biggest project so far – performing free eye examinations of children in 55 kindergartens of the Police Department “Our Joy” in Subotica and the surrounding area. We dedicated World Diabetes Day to senior citizens, through an educational lecture and free examinations. Through participation in numerous congresses and professional conferences, we have worked our own improvement, following modern world trends. Our doctors have presented four scientific papers at domestic and foreign congresses. As a result of our efforts and dedication, we have enriched our wide range of services for another one – microincisional cataract surgery, which is the highest standard in cataract surgery. In addition, we have included two new types of lenses in our offer, and we are especially proud of the introduction of new types of multifocal intracular lenses for life without glasses. We were among the first in the country to acquire the Lenstar device, which makes the most accurate measurements when deciding which lens will be implanted in the eye during cataract ultrasound surgery. Also, we tried to transfer the acquired knowledge to our colleagues, so in cooperation with the Ophthalmological Section of the Serbian Medical Society and the ophthalmology clinic “Ilic” from Belgrade, and under the auspices of the company “Oktal Pharma”, we organized a one-day course of echoophthalmography. We have achieved exceptional cooperation with top experts of the Clinic for Eye Diseases Prof. Dr. Djordje Nesic from Belgrade and continued quality cooperation with the doctors of the Clinic for Eye Diseases from Novi Sad with the intention that our young doctors grow up with the best teachers, as well as that our patients receive top health care in the environment in which they live. Our efforts in emphasizing the importance of preventive health care were confirmed by the visit of the Minister of Health, Dr. Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, who publicly praised our successful work so far. At that time, we were the only private institution that the minister and his team visited. As a confirmation that we are doing our job to the best of our ability, we have been awarded the prestigious “Flower of Success for the Dragon Woman” award in the subcategory “The Most European Women’s Company 2013,” which rounds off a very important period of our work. A period of innovation and improvement, from which we emerge even wiser, more experienced and more prepared for new challenges and victories. In all the great things that 2013 has brought us, however, there is something that stands out in particular. These are our patients, our reason and meaning, the greatest motivation and justification for our existence. What drives us to be even better are their tears of joy after surgery, the moments in which they see the world around them for the first time, their every “Thank you” from the heart and every moment of their new, better quality of life with healthy eyesight. We are proud to point out that our greatest achievement in our work so far is the fact that over 85% of new patients come to us solely on the basis of a recommendation. And that’s why we are not afraid of the time ahead. On the contrary, the new year represents a new challenge for us and a new opportunity to be even better. We promise that we will continue to be dedicated and smiling, always ready to provide you with help, advice, solutions. On each day of the new year, we will try to justify the trust you place in us and in return we will always give you more than you expect from us. Happy holidays and best wishes to you from the Perfect Vision team!
