XVI Congress of Ophthalmologists of Serbia with international participation

In the period from September 24 to 27, 2015, the 16th Congress of Ophthalmologists of Serbia with international participation was held at the Galleria Hotel in Subotica, which we attended.

This renowned gathering was attended by ophthalmologists from Serbia and the region, while the lecturers included issuing experts from Russia, Ireland, England, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Macedonia and Romania. The diverse program includes current topics (surgical and medical retina, glaucoma, corneal diseases, cataracts, refractive surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, etc.) presented through symposia, courses, oral presentations and poster presentations.

For the first time in Serbia, at this year’s congress, the Academy of the European Association of Ophthalmologists was held, during which a round table was organized on the subject of cataract surgery and refractive surgery.

On this occasion, the eye center “Perfect Vision” was visited by ophthalmologists from various parts of Vojvodina. A short tour was organized, with a presentation of the available technology and modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment. At a pleasant cocktail reception, discussions were held on numerous current topics and innovations in the field of ophthalmology, with the exchange of theoretical and practical knowledge and experiences.
