33rd Congress of the European Society of Ophthalmology

Continuous education and training, in order to raise the quality of services we provide to our patients to the highest possible level, is one of the basic postulates in our work. It was a great pleasure to be able to participate in the 33rd. Congress of the European Association of Ophthalmologists, held in Barcelona, from 04.09.09.2015.

Organized by the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the conferences are the most important ophthalmological gatherings in Europe and are held twice a year. As before, this 33rd Congress brought together the greatest ophthalmological experts from all over the world, who presented their latest findings in the field of cataract surgery and refractive surgery through interesting lectures, results of large European studies and interesting case reports. During the congress, through presentations, dynamic discussions, workshops and oral and poster presentations, we received a large amount of new information and gained new practical knowledge.

We had an active participation in this congress with the topic “An Example of Innovative Application of Marketing in Ophthalmology”. We presented our humanitarian project “Open Your Eyes”, which we launched in May 2015 and within which we have so far held educational lectures and free eye examinations in seven cities across Vojvodina.

For us, participation in this congress is a valuable opportunity to get acquainted with the latest views and achievements in world ophthalmology, which we are happy to apply in our work and thus provide even better health care to our patients.
