Extended action to mark the World Glaucoma Week

Due to great interest, the action marking the World Glaucoma Week has been extended until March 19, 2016. During this period, the staff of the eye center “Perfect Vision” continued to provide free services of measuring eye pressure and examining the head of the optic nerve to interested citizens.

World Glaucoma Week

The action covered over 130 patients. About 30% of the examined patients were referred for further tests which, in addition to measuring the eye pressure, corneal thickness, width of the eye angle, visual acuity check and fundus examination, include OCT of the optic nerve head and, if necessary, a computerized visual field.

In this way, we contributed to better informing patients about the dangers that this disease carries, as well as modern methods of treatment, which are more accessible than ever thanks to modern medical technology.

“This is an excellent opportunity for us pensioners to have their eyesight checked. In state institutions, we wait for three months for such examinations, and it’s hell. This way, we come and get the examination done in half an hour, which is fantastic. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!” – these are the words of a pensioner from Subotica.

Measuring eye pressure

“The doctor sent me for further examination because she noticed some changes. I didn’t even suspect that something was wrong and I’m very happy that I came in time. This is a really wonderful gesture of the House of Health because if they prevent the loss of sight in at least one person, it’s a great success.” – said the housewife from Palić.
