34th European Symposium of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Surgeons

In the period from September 10 to 14, 2016 , the 34th European Symposium of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Surgeons was held at the Bella Congress Center in Copenhagen, attended by Dr. Branka Ivošević , representative of the “Perfect Vision” eye center. At the same time, the European Retina and Cornea Congress (Euretina I Eucornea) was held, attended by Assoc. Sandra Jovanović, Ph.D. , head of the department for diseases of the posterior segment of the eye at the Clinic for Eye Diseases in Novi Sad (KCV) and a professional associate of the Perfect Vision eye center for many years.

The extensive scientific program was intended for refractive surgeons and cataract surgeons, in order to bring them closer to the latest scientific achievements and trends in this field. Numerous expert symposia, around 200 instructional sessions and surgical workshops were held. Special emphasis is again given to inexhaustible topics such as senile farsightedness, treatment of changes on the eye surface before and after refractive surgery, complicated cases of cataracts and glaucoma . Additional attention is directed towards young ophthalmologists, in terms of organizing a large number of lectures and trainings. During the opening ceremony of the Congress, the Ridley Medal was presented to the Honorable Dr. José Luis Güell , Director of the Department of Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the Institute of Eye Microsurgery in Barcelona for his decades-long contribution to the field of refractive surgery.
