Free examinations at the “Golden Age” nursing home
According to forecasts of American statisticians, the number of people over 65 will double by the middle of this century. But even though people are living longer today, it does not mean that they are living healthier. The increase in the elderly population represents a particular challenge for public health. 
On the occasion of the International Day of the Elderly , in cooperation with the “Golden Age” home for the elderly, 12/10/2017. We visited the residents of this home and performed free eye examinations. All residents of the home had their eye pressure measured and an examination of the fundus, prescribed therapy and given guidelines for further treatment.

Some of the most common causes of blindness in the elderly population are cataracts, glaucoma, senile macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. The goal of our action is the preventive detection of these dangerous diseases and their timely and proper treatment.
