World Glaucoma Week marked with free examinations

All over the world, the second week of March (March 10-16, 2019) is marked as World Glaucoma Week. The “silent thief” of sight and the second cause of blindness in the world, glaucoma is a disease that affects about 100,000 people in Serbia. It accounts for as much as 30% of all eye diseases and most often does not cause any symptoms, which is why it is often discovered only when the disease progresses.

In order to raise awareness of the seriousness of this disease, as well as the importance of its early detection and timely treatment, the team of the Perfect Vision Eye Center, for the 9th year in a row, has organized free eye pressure measurement and optic nerve head examination for our fellow citizens. The action was held in the period from March 11 to 15 in the premises of our clinic.

On Friday 15.03. examinations were carried out by Assoc. Dr. Ivan Marjanović, glaucomatologist from the Clinic for Eye Diseases in Belgrade (KCS), our expert consultant for many years.
