PATIENT EXPERIENCES – Installation of trifocal lenses

” How do we feel? Unburdened, free, satisfied. The operation has definitely changed our lives for the better, the quality of that “visual life” has improved, if I may say so.” – this is how Veselin Milunović (50) from Sremska Kamenica begins his story, who, together with his parents Anđelija (71) and Miloj (76), underwent an operation with the installation of trifocal intraocular lenses in the Center for Laser Eye Surgery “Perfect Vision” on the same day.

They came to “Perfect Vision” based on the recommendation of Veselin’s friend, and did not even consider the offers of other clinics. They made the first contact with the clinic 3 years ago, but they waited to collect enough money because they wanted to do the operation together. They thoroughly researched, watched videos and guest appearances by Dr. Branka Ivošević, which helped them solidify their decision to have the surgery in Subotica.

His parents, in addition to near and far dioptres, also had cataracts, which were permanently resolved with this operation. Now they can once again perform daily activities, which for many years were difficult and impossible for them.

“What can I tell you, now I easily thread the needle, I can read even the smallest letters… I feel reborn, as if my whole body is easier. Before, I staggered a bit while walking, I was insecure, especially when going up the stairs, but now it’s a treat! My husband said that after 20 years he can read newspapers again without glasses, because he can see even the smallest letters.” – Angelija, Veselin’s mother, told us.

They point out that the operation with the installation of trifocal lenses went easily, the first eye was completely painless, they almost didn’t even have the impression that they were having surgery. During the operation of the second eye, they felt an unpleasant stinging at certain moments, but it was far from painful and unbearable.

When asked how they now look at their decision to undergo surgery, Veselin points out that surgery with the installation of trifocal intraocular lenses is definitely one of the better investments in life.

“One would think that the operation is expensive, but considering how much money we have spent so far on glasses and examinations, we are already in the black and this is for life. It’s really a big relief!”
