Congress of the European Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons for the first time on the African continent

In the period from 21.-23. On February 2020, the 24th Winter Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) was held in Marrakesh, Morocco.

The 24th ESCRS Winter Congress attracted more than 1,940 participants from 73 countries, including over 700 participants from the host country of Morocco, thus justifying the title of the most visited European ophthalmology meeting.

It is interesting that the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) convened its Winter Congress outside Europe for the first time, which was joined by ophthalmologists from SAMIR, the Moroccan Society for Implantation and Refractive Surgery.

Representatives of the Center for Laser Eye Surgery “Perfect Vision”, Dr. Branka Ivošević and Dr. Sci. honey Sandra Jovanović attended the Congress and had the opportunity to learn about the latest surgical techniques and models of intraocular lenses at professional lectures and interactive workshops, which will make it easier for patients to drive and work on monitors.
