Free vision check on the occasion of World Sight Day at Perfect Vision Optics

Every year on the second Thursday in October, we celebrate World Sight Day with the intention of raising awareness of vision problems that can lead to permanent damage. On the occasion of 13.10. we organize a free vision check at Optica Perfect Vision.

The sense of sight is very important for every person, it adds color to the world. The World Health Organization states that almost 80% of eye diseases can be cured before they permanently damage vision. A total of 4% of the world’s population is blind or partially sighted. Did you know that one of the leading causes of blindness does not show symptoms until the late stages? It is glaucoma, a chronic disease of the optic nerve which, if not treated in time and its progression stopped, leads to complete loss of vision.

Ophthalmological examination is preventive for all eye diseases. A general ophthalmological examination is performed by a doctor specializing in ophthalmology, with the assistance of a nurse-technician. The basic ophthalmological examination lasts up to 60 minutes and is completely comfortable, safe and painless for the patient.

You can reduce the problems with dry eyes and headaches due to long periods of looking at the screen by installing a blue filter in the lenses of your glasses, which you can find in our opticians. Any exposure to the sun in summer and winter requires wearing sunglasses with UV protection and polarization to preserve vision.
