Researchers’ Night 2013.

On Friday, September 27, 2013. “Researcher’s Night” was held in 2008, an event which, now traditionally, is simultaneously realized in 32 European countries in over 200 cities, with the aim of promoting science and research as a way of life. 

Encouraged by the interesting theme of this year’s manifestation, “6 senses of science”, we gladly responded to the invitation and decided to become part of this educational and entertaining European project. The greatest interest of the children from Subotica was aroused by the optical illusions and 3D games that we presented to them and we enabled the visitors to take an interactive walk through our most important sense – the sense of sight. Those interested had the opportunity to view enlarged photographs of the eyes of various animals and compare them with photographs of the human eye. We explained the structure and function of the human eye to numerous fellow citizens who showed interest in the enlarged model of the eye.

As part of “Coffee with scientists”, all present had the opportunity to drink coffee with Dr. Branka Ivošević “at the expense of science” and in a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere ask everything they are interested in regarding the sense of sight and receive numerous useful advice.
