How to choose an institution where you will operate a cataract? -Experience of the operated patient

The majority of doctors and surgeons are just ordinary mortals who, like all other people who “procrastinate” on their work, can’t wait until they can “wipe out” their house to do some nicer and more fun things for them. Such doctors, especially surgeons, cannot miss the careful eye of the patient from the moment of entering his office or even better, the clinic.
Most often, a little chaos reigns in the reception department of the clinic, where patients wait in endless lines, practically rooting because of the wait, which already stretches for hours, and where it is not known who it is and why it is his turn to be examined.
Additional indicators that round off an accurate assessment of the surgeon and the expected outcome of the operation are visual information, e.g. that the clinic is equipped with outdated instruments that have long since outlived their useful life and that it gives the impression of an untidy waiting room behind the train station, the corridors are dirty, filled with unpleasant odors that force you to change your environment as soon as possible – maybe even running!
The Perfect Vision clinic absolutely stands out from all the others, at least that’s my personal impression (which rarely deceives me). And here’s why…
Namely, at the moment when I decided to undergo cataract surgery, I first experienced a catastrophic experience in the state clinic in Belgrade, where the head of the ophthalmology department examined both eyes together in literally 20 seconds (and after a full 3 hours of waiting in the waiting room) succinctly concluded that the cataract on the left eye was in its final stage, noted the degeneration of the macula (although the fundus was not visible due to the cataract) and the deterioration of the optic nerve, as a result of glaucoma.
I then decided to visit three more private clinics, in order to verify these devastating findings of the irresponsible chief, but I did not find any suitable features that would give me at least some confidence that my very delicate surgical procedure would be guaranteed to be a success and not a disaster.
After these visits, I decided on a short trip to Subotica, to the Perfect Vision clinic, where, to my great satisfaction, from the moment I entered the reception department until the examination in Dr. Branka Ivošević’s office, I got the impression that the entire clinic functions as a perfectly coordinated mechanism, that everything is perfectly clean and tidy, and that even the toilets are so clean the whole day, as if no one had ever set foot in them. In short – “like a pharmacy”!
At the clinic, everyone knows their job, and Dr. Branka is a top specialist in his field, whose every operation is successful. She organized and designed the entire work of the clinic, so she is perfect in the full sense of the word! It gives you confidence that guarantees 100% success of your future operation.
