In front of the Perfect Vision Eye Center, we were participants in a seminar at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce at the conference “Women’s Entrepreneurship – Serbia’s Development Chance” .

On the occasion of the International Day of Women Entrepreneurs , the Entrepreneurship Sector of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce organized a conference under this name. Aleksandra Vučetić , head of the group in the Sector of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of Economy, addressed the meeting first.

According to her, women entrepreneurs represent a significant segment of our economy and make up a third of the total number of entrepreneurs in Serbia. In the total number of active companies and entrepreneurs in Serbia, women’s companies accounted for 35.8% .

“Recognizing the importance of this segment of the economy and the necessity to encourage its further development, from 2021 the Ministry of Economy is implementing a special financial support program intended for women entrepreneurs and young people in the initial phase of business, but also for those who just want to start their own business. The program supports a wide range of service and production activities and is a combination of grants from the budget and a favorable loan from the Development Fund ,” said the representative of the Ministry of Economy.

Panel discussions and experiences

After the introductory speeches, three panels were held where distinguished female entrepreneurs presented their experiences of the development path, the challenges they encountered and the ways in which they were solved. Bank representatives highlighted the possibilities of financial support for young entrepreneurs.
