World-renowned surgeon at the “Perfect Vision” center for laser vision correction

During this all-day visit, Prof. Dr. Nagy participated in our surgical program and performed several cataract surgeries, presenting the latest methods and techniques of cataract removal. In this way, we had the opportunity to exchange theoretical and practical experience in this field.

According to the world-renowned professor < href="https://perfectvision.rs/tehnologija/">The “Perfect Vision” technology of the center for laser vision correction does not lag behind the technology of the European Union. “Today, we are already using very similar devices and intraocular lenses. The technical level of this ophthalmological institution is the same as in Hungary and other countries of the European Union. This is a very positive development in my opinion,” said Prof. Dr. Nagy.

Prof Dr. Zoltan Nagy was the first to practice refractive surgery in Hungary, starting in 1992.  He applies all types of refractive surgical procedures: PRK, LASIK, epi-LASIK, LASEK, PTK and has so far operated on over 30,000 eyes with various refractive errors.

Prof. Nagy was the first in the world to perform cataract surgery with a femtolaser in 2008, after which he published over 20 papers on this topic in reviews of the world’s most famous ophthalmological journals. In 2010, he received the award for the best article in the journal Refractive Surgery. In 2012, he received the International Association of Refractive Surgeons Award in recognition of his pioneering role and important scientific contributions to femtolaser cataract surgery.
