The cornerstone of our business policy is the application of the top quality technology and the most modern methods in diagnostics and treatment of eye diseases in order to provide the best possible health care and improve the life quality of our patients.
It is our pleasure to briefly introduce you to some of the devices that we use in everyday work:
SOCT Copernicus works on the principle of spectral optical tomography and offers the most accurate way of scanning the posterior segment of the eye. The device is the choice in diagnosing the diseases of the macula and the optic nerve. In one second up to 25.000 high resolution images are made that allow 3D reconstruction of the retina layers, which gives us the opportunity to discover a disease in the earliest stage.
YAG laser Optimis II is a high-tech device used for laser removal of secondary cataract and for iridotomy, laser intervention in glaucoma therapy. Nd:YAG laser emits beams with a wavelength of 1064nm, making this device extremely reliable and efficient and guarantees precise and impeccable application of the beam. With exceptionally low levels of energy required for intervention, the Optimis II is completely safe for all eye structures.
Argon laser VIRIDIS is a device of the latest generation of laser photocoagulators. A laser with a wavelength of 532nm cauterizes the blood vessels of the retina when they become permeable due to diabetes or degenerative changes. It is safe for both the patient and the operator. Superb spot precision allows for the targeted energy from 50 to 1500 mW to minimally affect the surrounding retina tissue.
The LS 900 Lenstar, an optical biometer, which we use to calculate the intraocular lens during an examination for cataract surgery, provides a complete biometric assessment of the patient’s eye in just a couple of minutes. Using standard formulas for caculation of lenses such as Hoffer Q, Holladay I, SRK-T and Haigis, it enables the operator to select a lens that will give a patient the perfect vision. The first biometer in the world that uses the precision of optical low-coherent reflectometry for all measurements, placing it among the top eye diagnostics by its performances.
Oculus Pentacam HR is irreplaceable in the field of refractive surgery, glaucoma diagnostics and corneal changes. It provides complete and accurate data on the entire front segment of the eye. It makes between 50 and 100 shots of the cornea in 2 seconds. These are high-quality and high-resolution images (up to 50x larger than the competitive apparatuses).
The proper functioning of the visual field is being examined on Oculus Twinfield 2 computerized visual field. Afterwards if there are some disturbances, they can be seen in the graphics. It is the most widely implemented while examining glaucoma, because the early changes of the disease can be noticeable on the apparatus, but cannot be noticed by the patient himself. It is also used for the neurological examinations, as if for checking the proper functioning of macula, when old-age degeneration is being suspected.
WaveLight Allegretto Wave Eye-Q Laser is a laser diopter removal device of the latest generation. The system is equipped with a high-speed laser and “Eye Tracker” (400 Hz) software, that registers even the slightest movement of the eye, which guarantees minimal exposure of the surrounding corneal tissue and therefore a low probability of surgical complications or need for retreatment. It ensures the ablation of the epithelium without any unevennesses, while the laser “spot” of 0.68mm removes the corneal tissue extremely precisely.
The Infinity Vision system introduces optimized OZil torsional emulsification into the practice of cataract surgery. With improved fluidic management and facilitated use of the system by the operator, the Infinity vision system provides a strategic advantage to the surgeon in phacoemulsification procedures adapted to each patient individually. The Titanium OZil probe has the option of ultrasonic oscillations, the option of traditional ultrasound and a combination of both.
